Prairie Land Electric has just been notified of becoming a 5-Star Co-op for the 2019-2020 cycle of Co-ops Vote. This status was earned by adding the Vote.coop link to the the website, prairielandelectric.com, promoting the campaign on social media, creating a Co-ops Vote video for YouTube or social media, hosting an elected official for a Meet & Greet, and inviting local officials to tour the Prairie Land Electric facilities.

Co-ops Vote is a non-partisan project of America's Electric Cooperatives designed to inform its members on the key issues facing electric co-ops and encourage them to vote and support their co-ops and the communities they serve when they go to the polls. Co-ops Vote does not endorse or recommend any candidates for election.

"We rely on the Co-ops Vote organization to identify and promote key legislative issues affecting the bottom line of Prairie Land Electric and all cooperatives," said Jeff Hardiek, Member Services Director for Prairie Land Electric. "They work hard for cooperatives, and these are simple things that we can do to help advance their cause."
